A project built with companies in the sector
Agriculture and the agri-food sector are currently undergoing profound transformations. Artificial intelligence, data use, automation, decision-support tools, precision agriculture and the environmental transition are changing jobs and the skills required across the sectors.
To address these challenges, in September 2026 the Cnam will open, in Ploufragan, within the Boussingault Institute, an “Agri-industries and Digital Systems” engineering degree, accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI) and offered as an apprenticeship programme.
From the launch of the Ami CMA France 2030 project in 2023, the CCPA Group was among the companies involved in its development. In this capacity, it contributed to discussions on skills, professions and the future needs of agricultural and agri-food companies, helping to design training as close as possible to on-the-ground realities.
As part of the school’s accreditation process, Julie David, Data and Digital Farming Manager at CCPA, represented the Group before the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur to share companies’ expectations and the strategic importance of training new profiles at the crossroads of agriculture, data and digital technologies.
Digital at the heart of CCPA’s strategy
For more than 60 years, the CCPA Group has supported livestock industry stakeholders with innovative nutritional solutions designed to sustainably improve the technical, economic and environmental performance of animal production.
Today, the Group is championing a new vision: Enhanced Nutrition, which combines life sciences, artificial intelligence and livestock data to evolve animal nutrition towards a dynamic approach, managed in real time and tailored to each production context.
This approach is based on leveraging data from connected farms and modelling it using advanced digital tools. It improves the accuracy of nutritional recommendations and supports farmers in their day-to-day decisions.
This ambition is reflected in particular through the development of digital decision-support solutions and through the activities of Kumulus, a company specialising in the collection, securing and provision of livestock data.
Training the skills for tomorrow’s sectors
The Boussingault Institute will train engineers capable of combining life sciences, agricultural production, artificial intelligence, data analysis and change management.
For the CCPA Group, this initiative meets the growing recruitment needs for hybrid profiles capable of supporting the digital and environmental transitions of the agricultural and agri-food sectors. By contributing to the creation of this new generation of engineers, the Group reaffirms its commitment to innovation, training and the attractiveness of careers in agriculture.
In the face of changes in our sectors, companies are increasingly looking for profiles capable of understanding both animal production, data, digital technologies and environmental challenges. By taking part in the creation of the Boussingault Institute, we wanted to make a concrete contribution to training the talent our sector will need tomorrow.
