At the heart of the CCPA Group’s strategy, R&I puts science at the service of the livestock sectors to develop high-performance, responsible, and sustainable nutritional solutions.

Founded in 1966, the CCPA Group was born from a desire to pool resources and research capabilities in animal nutrition. This commitment continues to guide our actions: developing and sharing knowledge, constantly innovating, and cultivating an approach based on listening, analysis, science, and partnerships.

Each year, we mobilize multidisciplinary teams and invest in applied research programs, field trials, and scientific partnerships to advance animal nutrition in a measurable and sustainable way.

The R&I strategy, a lever for sustainable performance

A major lever for differentiation, complementary to its CSR commitment and its commitment to operational excellence, the CCPA Group’s R&I strategy is structured around three axes to meet our customers’ challenges.

  1. Performance and competitiveness of the sectors

    Improving feed efficiency, perfecting feed formulation and feeding programs, and developing digital decision-support tools to strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of the livestock sectors.

  2. Nutrition-Health and sustainability

    Contributing to more responsible production by reducing the use of antibiotics and chemical molecules, designing feeding programs adapted to critical physiological stages, and limiting animal emissions: concrete levers of action mobilized through our expertise in functional ingredients.

  3. Quality of finished products

    Evaluating and controlling the impact of animal nutrition on the quality of meat, milk, and eggs, and giving them functional properties to meet the requirements of the sectors and consumer expectations.

An integrated research system on an international scale

The CCPA Group’s research system is based on a solid and international scientific infrastructure:

  • 2 experimental stations: Euronutrition in France and Sanuren in Mexico
  • 5 laboratories specialized in animal nutrition analysis and applied research: Artémis (France), Science2U (Portugal), Nutega (Spain), CCPA Turkey (Turkey), and Euro-Nutec (Mexico)
  • A network of over 300 multi-species reference farms
  • A subsidiary dedicated to livestock data collection: Kumulus

This system is complemented by a network of university and technical partners, allowing for the deployment of ambitious research programs and the conduct of in vitro and in vivo trials.

    Optimizing feed efficiency by relying on the study of animals’ physiological needs, knowledge of the nutritional value of raw materials, and their integration into formulation strategies.

  • Phyto-expertise

    Identifying, characterizing, and promoting natural active ingredients derived from plant-based raw materials.

  • Digital & Data Science

    Developing digital decision-support tools and ensuring the monitoring and management of field trials within our network of reference farms.

  • Sustainability

    Performing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of our solutions and contributing to the reduction of the environmental footprint of animal production.
