In 1987, Louisbourg Construction Ltd. completed the
construction of a concrete pressure pipe plant in St.
Eustache, Québec, and in 1990 acquired the equipment and
trademark of the Hyprescon division of
Canron Inc. At the time, Hyprescon was the
largest manufacturer of concrete pressure pipe in Canada
- since 1931. |

Hyprescon
commenced manufacturing concrete pressure pipe (CPP) and
serving the water works industry from its Stouffville Ontario
facility in 1976. Since that time, hundreds of kilometers of CPP have been engineered & manufactured by Hyprescon.
Today, Hyprescon is a leading manufacturer of AWWA C301
prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (also known as PCCP) and
fittings. Hyprescon has the ability to work worldwide. In
2000, Hyprescon became a leading fabricator and supplier of
prestressed/precast concrete products in Ontario. The precast
department of Hyprescon produces prestressed concrete girders (CPCI),
Hy-Span structures, concrete box culverts, reinforced concrete pipe,
and concrete vaults. All concrete products are designed in
accordance with CHBDC (CAN-CSA-S6-00) and manufactured to
CSA and OPSS standards at its Uxbridge facility. |
